Job title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
Our clinic is looking for a dedicated Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with patients to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders. The Speech Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapy sessions, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments to determine the nature and severity of communication and swallowing disorders.
2. Develop treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
3. Provide therapy sessions to improve communication skills, articulation, fluency, and swallowing abilities.
4. Educate patients and their families on techniques to improve communication and swallowing.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to coordinate patient care.
6. Keep detailed records of patient progress and communicate with other team members to update treatment plans as needed.
7. Stay current on best practices and new techniques in the field of speech therapy.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
3. State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
4. Experience working with a diverse range of patients, including children and adults.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
