Job Title: Director of Rehabilitation
Job Summary:
The Director of Rehabilitation is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the rehabilitation department within a healthcare facility. This includes managing a team of therapists, developing and implementing treatment plans, and ensuring the highest quality of care for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for patients based on their individual needs.
2. Manage a team of therapists, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
4. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and referral sources.
7. Oversee budgeting and financial management for the rehabilitation department.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy.
2. Current licensure as a therapist in the state of practice.
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in a rehabilitation setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
5. Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
6. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards of care in rehabilitation.
