Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works closely with physical therapists to provide rehabilitation services to patients with physical injuries or disabilities. They assist in developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and documenting patient progress.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans.
2. Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
3. Monitor and document patient progress, including improvements and areas for further intervention.
4. Provide hands-on assistance to patients during therapy sessions to ensure proper form and technique.
5. Communicate with patients and their families to provide guidance and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
6. Maintain clean and organized treatment areas and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Physically able to assist patients with mobility and exercises.
6. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
