Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping individuals with physical, mental, or developmental challenges regain independence and improve their quality of life through therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
2. Provide occupational therapy services to clients of all ages in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools, and rehabilitation centers.
3. Assist clients in improving their motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing through therapeutic activities and exercises.
4. Educate clients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and resources to promote independence and safe functioning.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
6. Document and maintain accurate records of clients' progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
2. State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
3. Prior experience working with clients with various conditions, such as autism, stroke, Alzheimer's, and spinal cord injuries.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effectively working with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
5. Ability to assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
6. Knowledge of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and community resources for clients.
