Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain through various exercises and treatments. Your role is crucial in assisting patients in their rehabilitation process and improving their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Educate patients on exercises and techniques to improve mobility and functionality
- Monitor and track progress of patients during therapy sessions
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including massages, stretches, and exercises
- Set up equipment and assist patients with physical therapy exercises
- Document patient progress and communicate with the physical therapist on patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Must be licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Physical stamina to assist patients with exercises and treatments
