Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing care to patients with respiratory issues, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, administer medication, and monitor their progress to ensure optimal lung function and overall well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to determine respiratory health needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Administering medications and treatments, such as oxygen therapy and nebulizers
- Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educating patients and their families on respiratory health management
- Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Documenting patient care and treatment outcomes accurately
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team environment
