Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist will work with individuals of all ages who have communication and swallowing disorders. They will assess the patient's needs and develop treatment plans to improve speech, language, and oral motor skills. The Speech Therapist will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for their patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct evaluations to determine the level of speech or language difficulty
2. Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
3. Implement treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing abilities
4. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
5. Provide education and training to patients and their families
6. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
7. Keep detailed records of patient progress
8. Stay current on best practices and research in the field of speech therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in speech-language pathology
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
3. State licensure or certification
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work with individuals of all ages
6. Compassion and patience
7. Knowledge of speech and language disorders
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Continuing education in the field
