Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing care to patients who have trouble breathing due to various conditions, including asthma, bronchitis, COPD, and other respiratory illnesses. You will work closely with physicians to develop treatment plans and provide therapies to help patients breathe easier and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting patient assessments to determine the best course of treatment.
2. Administering medications and therapies to patients, such as oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator support.
3. Monitoring and evaluating patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
4. Educating patients on how to manage their respiratory conditions at home.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care.
