Job Description

Job Title: Medical Physicist (Long Term Assignment)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Physicist for a long term assignment in a healthcare facility. The Medical Physicist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as providing expertise in radiation protection and quality assurance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Perform quality assurance checks on radiation equipment

- Develop and implement radiation safety protocols

- Optimize radiation doses for diagnostic imaging and treatment planning

- Provide consultation to healthcare teams on radiation therapy treatment planning

- Collaborate with radiologists, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans

- Stay current on advancements in medical physics and radiation oncology

- Participate in research and development projects related to medical physics

Qualifications and Skills:

- Master's or Doctorate degree in Medical Physics or related field

- Certification by the American Board of Radiology in Medical Physics

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Experience with radiation therapy treatment planning software

- Knowledge of radiobiology and radiation oncology
