Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
Our clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The Speech Therapist will work with patients of all ages who have communication, swallowing, or voice disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of speech therapy techniques and be able to provide tailored treatment plans to help patients improve their communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform evaluations to assess patients' communication abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on evaluation findings
- Provide therapy sessions to address speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and psychologists, to coordinate patient care
- Keep detailed records of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued progress
- Stay current on research and best practices in the field of speech therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- State licensure to practice as a Speech Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassion and patience when working with patients
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques and treatment modalities
