Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide therapy services to patients in need of rehabilitation. Your main goal will be to help individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life through the use of therapeutic activities and exercises.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans.
2. Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and coordination.
3. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and adaptive equipment.
4. Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the therapy team.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
6. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
7. Adhere to all safety and ethical guidelines in the provision of therapy services.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
2. Valid state license to practice as a COTA.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
6. Physical stamina to perform job duties effectively.
7. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
