Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will work with individuals who have physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities to help them improve their ability to perform day-to-day tasks and activities. They will use a variety of techniques and equipment to help clients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
2. Help clients improve their motor skills and coordination through therapeutic exercises and activities.
3. Teach clients how to use adaptive equipment to assist them in daily tasks.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for clients.
5. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
6. Educate clients and their families on how to best support their recovery and independence.
7. Maintain accurate records of clients' assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
2. Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Knowledge of a variety of therapeutic techniques and equipment.
6. Strong problem-solving skills.
7. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
