Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
An Occupational Therapist is responsible for helping individuals with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities regain independence in their daily lives. They work with patients to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to improve their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, coordination, and mobility
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and techniques to complete daily tasks
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive care plan
- Document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with patients with a variety of disabilities
