Job title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will work with patients to help them regain independence and perform everyday tasks following an injury, illness, or disability. They will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to improve strength, range of motion, and overall function.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments to identify patients' needs and goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy sessions to improve motor skills, coordination, and cognitive function
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with patients of all ages and abilities
- Knowledge of current treatment techniques and best practices
- CPR certification
- Continuing education to stay current on advancements in the field
