Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses. Your main role will involve assisting in conducting therapeutic exercises, providing hands-on treatment, and monitoring patients' progress throughout their rehabilitation process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
2. Guide patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities.
3. Administer modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation as directed by the therapist.
4. Record and document patients' progress and treatment outcomes.
5. Educate patients on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities at home.
6. Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting from an accredited program.
2. Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and exercises.
6. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
7. Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility and exercises.
