Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work with individuals of all ages to improve their speech and language skills, as well as their ability to swallow safely.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct evaluations to assess patients' speech and language abilities
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
3. Provide therapy sessions to improve communication skills
4. Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving speech and language
5. Monitor and document patient progress
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
7. Stay current on advancements in the field of speech therapy
8. Participate in continuing education opportunities
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
2. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
3. State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Experience working with diverse populations
7. Knowledge of different therapy techniques and tools
8. Excellent problem-solving abilities
