Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for helping patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks and achieve independence in their lives. You will work with individuals of all ages who have physical, mental, or developmental challenges and develop personalized treatment plans to help them reach their full potential.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to determine their needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities.
- Provide therapeutic activities to help patients improve their motor skills, cognitive abilities, and sensory processing.
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises for continued progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and social workers, to provide holistic care to patients.
- Document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Stay current on the latest research and trends in occupational therapy to provide the best care possible.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
