Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in patients of all ages. The Speech Therapist will work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to create treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting screenings and assessments to determine the extent of the patient's speech and language difficulties
- Developing treatment plans and goals based on the assessment findings
- Providing individual or group therapy sessions to help patients improve their speech and language skills
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educating patients and their families on strategies to improve communication skills
- Keeping detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with patients of all ages with diverse speech and language disorders
