Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to help patients regain independence in everyday activities. Your primary goal will be to assist in the development and implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans to improve patients' quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting in the evaluation of patients' functional abilities
2. Implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists
3. Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities
4. Monitoring and documenting patients' progress
5. Providing support and education to patients and their families
6. Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care
7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
2. Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
3. State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
