Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for helping patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks and activities through therapeutic interventions. You will work with individuals of all ages who are experiencing physical, mental, developmental, or emotional challenges that impact their ability to function independently in their daily lives.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and ability to perform daily activities
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and techniques to overcome physical limitations
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment
- Monitor patients' progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to help them better understand and cope with their conditions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion, empathy, and patience
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
