Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work closely with occupational therapists to provide therapy services to clients of all ages to help them regain independence in their daily activities. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and skilled in assisting individuals with physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist occupational therapists in evaluating clients and developing treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve clients' motor skills, coordination, and mobility
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, and eating
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate clients and their families on techniques for improving functional abilities
- Maintain accurate records of clients' progress and treatment sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- State licensure as required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities is a plus
