Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with respiratory disorders, providing education on breathing techniques and equipment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform diagnostic tests to assess patients' respiratory conditions
- Administer oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments
- Educate patients on proper use of inhalers and other breathing aids
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings for patients in critical care
- Collaborate with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans
- Document and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
- Stay current on advancements in respiratory therapy techniques and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to compassionately care for patients in various stages of illness
