Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist licensed physical therapists in providing care and treatment to patients with injuries or disabilities. This role includes helping patients with exercises, monitoring progress, and documenting treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists with patient assessments and treatment plans
2. Help patients perform prescribed exercises and activities
3. Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
4. Provide support and motivation to patients throughout their treatment
5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment
6. Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals
7. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and billing
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate’s degree in physical therapy assistant program
2. Current certification/license as a Physical Therapy Assistant
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
5. Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
6. Ability to lift and move patients with assistance
7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
8. Basic computer skills
