Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. They work with patients of all ages to help improve their ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Developing individualized treatment plans to address the identified issues
- Providing therapy sessions to clients, utilizing various techniques and strategies
- Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Educating clients and their families on techniques for maintaining progress
- Keeping detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Previous experience working with individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
