Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide therapy services to patients to help them regain independence in daily tasks and activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Implementing treatment plans developed by licensed occupational therapists.
2. Assisting patients with therapeutic exercises and activities.
3. Monitoring and recording patient progress.
4. Providing emotional support and encouragement to patients.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
6. Educating patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises.
7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
2. Must have a valid COTA certification.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
5. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
6. Ability to adapt to different patient needs and conditions.
7. Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
8. Must be licensed to practice as a COTA in the state of employment.
