Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities to help them regain independence and improve quality of life. You will assess clients' abilities and needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to help them perform daily tasks and activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct initial evaluations to assess clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning
2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' specific needs and goals
3. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve clients' fine motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and physical therapists, to coordinate care for clients
5. Provide education and training to clients and their families on adaptive strategies and equipment
6. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
7. Document clients' progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
5. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or injuries
6. Knowledge of best practices in occupational therapy
7. Certification in specialized areas of practice, such as hand therapy or pediatrics, is a plus
