Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for helping patients develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. You will work with individuals of all ages who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities to promote independence and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate patients' abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
2. Help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities
3. Teach patients new ways of approaching tasks to promote independence
4. Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices
5. Work closely with patients' families and caregivers to provide support and education
6. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
7. Maintain accurate and timely patient records
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
6. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
7. Experience working with patients with various disabilities
8. Continuing education in the field of Occupational Therapy
