Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain movement, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, conducting exercises, and documenting progress to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients under the direction of a physical therapist.
2. Conduct exercises and therapeutic activities with patients to improve mobility, strength, and range of motion.
3. Monitor and document patient progress, including updating charts and reports as needed.
4. Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program.
2. Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques.
6. CPR certification.
