Job title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have physical, mental, or emotional challenges to help them develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. You will use therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patients' abilities and help them navigate their environments more effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments to identify patients' strengths and areas for improvement
2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
3. Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional skills
4. Work with patients to improve their ability to perform daily living tasks independently
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
6. Document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
7. Educate patients and their families on how to continue treatment at home
8. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. Valid state license to practice occupational therapy
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
6. Experience working with individuals with a variety of physical, mental, and emotional challenges
