Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work alongside licensed occupational therapists to provide rehabilitation services to patients with physical, mental, or developmental conditions. You will help individuals develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working through therapeutic activities and exercises.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
2. Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the occupational therapist
3. Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
4. Provide guidance and support to patients and their families
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
7. Stay current on advancements in occupational therapy practices and techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
2. Must hold a valid COTA certification
3. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
6. Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
