Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries and surgeries, improve mobility, and manage pain through various therapeutic exercises and treatments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients as directed by the supervising therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care activities
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and legal standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance or related field
- Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques
- Prior experience working in a clinical setting is preferred
