Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
An Occupational Therapist (OT) helps individuals with physical, developmental, social, or emotional challenges to improve their ability to perform daily tasks and activities. OTs work with clients of all ages in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, and private practices.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
2. Help clients regain skills lost due to injury or illness
3. Teach clients new ways to perform tasks and activities
4. Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
6. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
7. Educate clients and their families on how to support treatment goals
8. Document client progress and maintain accurate records
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy
2. State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology
6. Experience working with diverse populations
7. Ability to problem solve and think creatively
8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
