Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitative services to patients. You will assist with exercises, massages, and other therapeutic techniques to help patients regain mobility, improve strength, and alleviate pain.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in developing treatment plans for patients.
2. Instruct and supervise patients in performing exercises and activities.
3. Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
4. Monitor patient progress and report findings to the physical therapist.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
6. Educate patients and their families on home exercises and self-care techniques.
7. Assist with equipment setup and maintenance.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance
- State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and modalities
- Physical stamina to assist patients with exercises and activities
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
