Job Description

Job title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Summary:

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of licensed Occupational Therapists to help patients improve their quality of life through therapeutic activities. You will assist in developing treatment plans, implementing interventions, and monitoring progress towards goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Conducting patient assessments to determine areas of need

2. Assisting in the development and implementation of treatment plans

3. Providing therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, and independent living skills

4. Documenting patient progress and communication with healthcare team

5. Educating patients and families on treatment plans and home exercises

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

2. Certification as a COTA by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

3. State licensure to practice as a COTA

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

5. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
