Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work alongside Occupational Therapists to help patients improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. You will assist in developing treatment plans and implementing therapeutic activities to help patients regain independence in their daily lives.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality care to patients.
- Assist in evaluating patients' conditions and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Carry out therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare team members.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in occupational therapy techniques and technologies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must have a current COTA certification.
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- State licensure as a COTA.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Experience working with patients of all ages and abilities.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
