Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist with patient care and treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others improve their physical well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans developed by the physical therapist
- Provide hands-on assistance to patients during therapy sessions
- Monitor patients’ progress and communicate any changes to the physical therapist
- Instruct patients in specific exercises and activities to improve strength and mobility
- Help set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
