Job title: Physical Therapist
Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing patients' physical limitations and developing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent disability. They work closely with patients to help them recover from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, using a variety of techniques and exercises to improve strength and flexibility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate patients' medical history and physical condition to determine the best treatment approach.
2. Develop and implement treatment plans that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities.
3. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
4. Educate patients on at-home exercises and strategies to support their recovery.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
2. Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
5. Experience working with patients of all ages and physical abilities.
6. Knowledge of current techniques and trends in physical therapy.
