Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities to help them develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. You will evaluate patients' abilities and develop customized treatment plans to improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate patients to determine their needs and develop treatment plans
2. Help patients carry out everyday tasks (e.g. dressing, cooking, driving)
3. Teach patients new ways to approach tasks
4. Assist in adapting equipment and environments to enhance patients' independence
5. Monitor and assess patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
2. State licensure as an Occupational Therapist
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages and backgrounds
5. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
