Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team and work alongside occupational therapists to provide high-quality care to patients. As a COTA, you will assist in implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic activities, and helping patients develop or regain the skills needed for daily living and working.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in evaluating patients' physical and mental abilities.
2. Implement treatment plans as directed by occupational therapists.
3. Conduct therapeutic activities to improve patients' motor skills and coordination.
4. Assist patients with daily living activities.
5. Document patient progress and communicate findings to the occupational therapist.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
8. Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations governing occupational therapy services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- State licensure in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
