Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary: The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for assisting physical therapists in providing treatment for patients with physical disabilities or injuries. They work closely with patients to help them improve their movement, manage pain, and prevent further injury.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
2. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities.
3. Administer therapeutic modalities, such as heat or cold packs.
4. Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities.
5. Monitor and report patient progress to the physical therapist.
6. Help set up and maintain equipment used in therapy sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance.
2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
5. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercises.
6. Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities or injuries.
