Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of registered occupational therapists to help clients improve their daily living skills and maximize their independence. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for helping others, and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need of occupational therapy services.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans.
2. Conducting therapy sessions with clients to improve fine motor skills, mobility, and overall function.
3. Monitoring and documenting client progress and communicating findings to the therapy team.
4. Providing emotional support and encouragement to clients during therapy sessions.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
6. Educating clients and their families on adaptive strategies and techniques.
7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and treatment notes.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
2. Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
3. Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
7. Basic computer skills for maintaining client records.
