Job Summary:
A Speech Therapist, also known as a Speech-Language Pathologist, is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients who have communication and swallowing disorders. They work with individuals of all ages to help improve their speech, language, and overall communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting assessments to evaluate the patient's speech and language abilities.
2. Developing individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders.
3. Providing therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills.
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
5. Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.

7. Keeping detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
2. State licensure or certification in Speech Therapy.
3. Clinical experience working with patients with communication disorders.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
6. Knowledge of various therapy techniques and interventions for speech and language disorders.
