Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to individuals with physical, mental, or emotional impairments. You will help clients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist Occupational Therapists in developing treatment plans and goals for clients
2. Implement therapy activities and exercises to help clients improve their motor skills, strength, and coordination
3. Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
4. Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients during therapy sessions

7. Educate clients and their families on techniques for managing disabilities and improving quality of life
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
2. Current certification as a COTA
3. State licensure as required
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
6. Compassion and empathy for clients facing challenges
7. Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and daily activities
