Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary diseases. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide education on respiratory care techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Performing diagnostic tests to evaluate lung function
- Administering medications and treatments to patients
- Monitoring and adjusting ventilator settings for patients on mechanical ventilation
- Educating patients on how to use and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans
- Keeping detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
- Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Experience in critical care or emergency care settings preferred
