Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our team in providing essential cancer treatment services to patients. The Radiation Therapist will operate advanced radiation therapy equipment to administer targeted radiation treatments to patients in accordance with their prescribed treatment plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation therapy techniques and protocols, as well as excellent communication skills to support patients throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review and verify treatment plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with physician orders
- Administer radiation therapy treatments with precision and accuracy
- Monitor patients during treatment sessions to ensure their safety and comfort
- Document treatment sessions and maintain detailed patient records
- Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment procedures and potential side effects
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
- Current license to practice as a Radiation Therapist
- Strong understanding of radiation therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
