Job Title: Respiratory Care Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Care Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders or cardiopulmonary diseases. You will work as part of a healthcare team to provide respiratory care services to patients of all age groups.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform diagnostic tests to assess patients' respiratory health
- Develop and implement respiratory care plans based on individual patient needs
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
- Provide emergency respiratory care in critical situations
- Document patient care accurately and maintain records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related field
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- State licensure as a Respiratory Care Therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Knowledge of respiratory care equipment and techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- CPR certification
