Job Title: Speech Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist to join our team. The Speech Therapist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating communication and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to help individuals improve their communication and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluate and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address the specific needs of each patient
- Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to continue therapy at home
- Stay current on latest research and advancements in the field of speech therapy
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA certification is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience working with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
