Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will assist occupational therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients with physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. You will work with individuals of all ages to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life through therapeutic activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement treatment plans developed by occupational therapists
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor patients' progress and report back to the occupational therapist
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercises
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient assessments and progress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- State licensure or certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to patient care
