Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients with various physical conditions to improve their mobility, relieve pain, and enhance overall well-being. You will work with individuals of different age groups and conditions, such as injuries, post-surgery recovery, neurological disorders, or chronic illnesses. Your goal will be to maximize patients' potential by designing and implementing effective treatment plans, promoting independence, and providing appropriate education.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical and functional abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans to meet the specific needs of each patient
- Implement treatment techniques including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans, and document findings accordingly
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, ergonomics, and injury prevention strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and document treatment sessions
- Stay informed about new treatment techniques and advancements in physical therapy
- Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines, maintaining patient confidentiality
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients, promoting motivation and engagement
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist
- Proven experience in effectively treating a variety of physical conditions and injuries
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach when caring for individuals of diverse backgrounds and conditions
- Ability to effectively educate and motivate patients
- Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate evaluation and treatment planning
- Physical stamina and fitness required for manual therapy techniques and assisting patients in their exercises
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred
- Continuing education and professional development are considered a plus
