Job Summary:
The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) is responsible for overseeing all rehabilitation services within the facility, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and operational efficiency. The DOR leads therapy teams including Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists while managing budgets, productivity, and program development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support PT, OT, and SLP therapy staff
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
Manage rehab department budgets and productivity targets
Develop and implement patient-centered therapy programs
Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
Monitor clinical outcomes and quality improvement initiatives
Conduct staff training, evaluations, and performance management
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Required Qualifications:
Licensed PT, OT, or SLP (active state license)
3+ years of rehabilitation leadership experience
Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid guidelines
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Experience in SNF, hospital, or outpatient rehab setting
